A possibly unique Patek…
This is a very rare Patek, that we believe might possibly be unique.
The yellow gold step case is a large size and measures 38 x 31mm.
Occasionally these watches were fitted with rare hardstone dials, such as this incredible example with an onyx dial. The dial is clean with no hour markers and very clean white text and yellow gold no-lume dagger hands.
The watch is powered by the hand wound calibre 215. This Ellipse is fitted with a factory ordered yellow gold woven bracelet that is signed Patek Philippe and has the Calatrava cross that would fit a wrist size of up to 20cm.
This is very rare as most of these watches had leather straps but bracelets were available for special orders. The watch is accompanied by the original boxes ( we actually think this is the coolest box from PP!) and papers that state that the watch was sold in Germany in 1979 and that it was fitted with an Onyx dial! The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.
